Curriculum

Curriculum Statement

The curriculum at Meadowfield School meets the statutory requirements of the EYFS and the new National Curriculum. The curriculum is broad and balanced with a focus on creativity and enjoyment of learning through developing programmes of study based on, and relevant to, pupil interests. There is an emphasis on developing independence and lifelong learning skills tailored to individual pupils’ needs. The curriculum provides challenge, supports differing needs and learning styles and is accessible to pupils with English as an additional language. The cultural diversity of the local, national and global community is celebrated throughout the curriculum.

Pupils at Key Stage 4 take nationally recognised accreditation's, as appropriate.

The Sixth Form curriculum focuses on students’ aspirations and interests to ensure they develop skills for independent or supported living and employment.

If you would like more information regarding the curriculum, please contact Angela Howe, Deputy Principal via the office.
