Welcome to Emerald Class,

I am Suzanne, the class teacher and my TA’s are Nikki, Leanne, & Courtney.

We are in the ‘Engage’ department and we follow the IMPACTS Curriculum. This term our theme is ‘Independence’.

Theme Overview:  The work for term 3 is planned around the theme of ‘Independence’. We will be working on sensory stories based around this theme. We will be exploring the story of ‘Joseph and his technicolour dreamcoat’ exploring each individual’s strengths and talents within the story. We will continue to work on pupils’ individual targets through our theme. Pupils will participate and take turns in the stories and we will use technology to help to tell the story.  Activities linked to these stories will help pupils to achieve other target areas such as matching and the use of communication tools such as eye gaze, switches, and I pads (Grid Player & Sounding board).

We are also making a photo book for each student showing what they can do and their likes and dislikes this term.

We will be exploring different colours linked to the story of ‘Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat.
