Woodpeckers

Welcome to Woodpeckers!

Our teacher is Jack, and we also have Jenny, Michelle and Shara to help support our learning.

We currently have 10 children in Woodpeckers.

We enjoy learning in our class through discovery, adventurous learning and targeted interventions. We are sorry if we come home a little messy from a fun day of learning! If you would like to send in some old clothes to protect your child’s school uniform during messy activities, we will ensure they are used when needed. We like to explore different environments, including the sensory garden, to enhance our learning – even if it is raining. If you would like to send in wet weather clothes or wellies we can ensure we can have lots of fun whatever the weather!

We are a happy class and enjoy following the school values.

Our topic for Term 1 is Me and My Family.

Things to remember:

• PE is on a Thursday morning every week, please bring in a PE kit to use during this lesson including suitable footwear or ensure your child is wearing their PE when coming into school
• Please ensure all clothing has a name label when sent into school.
• EHCP diaries will be sent home every other Friday. Please ensure they are returned on a Monday so we can keep track of our targets in school.
• Blue diaries will be sent home when needed throughout the week and then on Fridays to sum up our week.
