Pankhurst

We are Pankhurst class, an Enquire Pathway Curriculum class, led by our Teacher Lloyd and supported by Teaching Assistants Sian, Harley, Tom and Kayleigh.

We follow a KS4 timetable, where pupils in Years 10 and 11 are studying for accreditation, and our lessons include; English, where we are Exploring Narratives in a range of stories; Maths, where our focus this term is currently on Number and also on Data Handling; Science, where we have found out about Health & Safety in the laboratory and in other settings; Lifeskills, where we have particularly enjoyed baking in the cooking room as part of our work so far; and PSHE, where we discuss and explore feelings and emotions and have been identifying ways to address difficulties in different situations.

We also study a choice of Art, Music, Media Studies and Computing as part of our Options subjects, and have a daily focus on Reading, Handwriting and Target Work during our morning Form Time sessions. And beside all of this, we have a weekly focused phonic lesson each Friday in the form of a spelling test which pupils spend time practicing for throughout the week both at home and in school.

At the end of each week, we also have a celebration where we award a certificate to our 'Star of the Week'.
