Term four will see Wrens Class become little pirates through the picture book, ‘Pirates in Pyjamas.’ The children will be able to use their senses, imagination, numerical and creative skills to explore hidden treasures and walk the plank. Pupils will also take a closer look at how they can help the environment and continue to foster positive relationships through their social interactions.

In maths, the focus will be money and time. Exploratory science, arts and food fun will be linked to the theme of pirates, materials and recycling. All of which will be delivered in groups and on a 1:1 basis. A role play area and home corner are also set up to support and build communication and language throughout the school day. Outdoor learning will include sand themed activities, cardboard constructions and sensory messy play.

PE will be on a Tuesday. Please send your child’s PE kit into school on a Monday so we can continue to practice our independent dressing skills in school.

So, let us WINWORD kenWISjWg1(set sail and enjoy the journey – term 4).
