The curriculum at Meadowfield School meets the statutory requirements of the EYFS and the new National Curriculum. The curriculum is broad and balanced with a focus on preparation for adulthood and enjoyment of learning through developing programmes of study based on, and relevant to, pupil interests. There is an emphasis on developing independence and life skills tailored to individual pupils’ needs. The curriculum is personalised and aspirational, providing challenge. It supports differing needs and learning styles and is accessible to pupils with English as an additional language. The cultural diversity of the local, national and global community is celebrated throughout the curriculum.
Pupils at Key Stage 4 take nationally recognised qualifications, including GCSE, as appropriate.
The Sixth Form curriculum focuses on students’ aspirations and interests to ensure they develop skills for independent or supported living and employment.
Full details and documentation can be found on the Curriculum Page under the About section.
