Dear Parents and Carers
I am very pleased to share some exciting news with you.
LPPA – A National Standard for Effective Parent Partnership
On July 5, we had our final verification for the Leading Parent Partnership Award. The LPPA Framework helps schools to work in partnership with parents and carers and encourages them to be involved in their children’s learning. I am happy to announce that we have successfully achieved the award and I would like to thank all of those who took part, particularly Deanna Baily who led the project. We were able to recognise the good work that we do with parents and carers and also identify the next steps to further improve our practice. We will be announcing new developments in the 2023-2024 academic year.
Explore Department Phase Leader
Congratulations to Rachel Rook who has been appointed as our new Phase Leader to work alongside Peter Masaryk in the Explore Department. Rachel is a highly regarded and experienced Teacher who will be able to share her good practice as she supports staff, pupils and families across the Explore Pathway. We know that her contributions in helping to lead and manage Explore will have a huge positive impact and we appreciate Rachel’s willingness to step up to her new role.
Principal Appointment
It is my privilege to announce that following a rigorous two-day interview process, Angela Howe has been appointed as Principal of Meadowfield School. Many of you will know Angela through her various roles during her esteemed career of 20+ years at Meadowfield School. Angela always put the pupils at the forefront of everything she does as a compassionate leader who works hard to maintain high standards. Angela will be writing to you early September to tell more about herself and to share her vision for Meadowfield.
I would like to wish you all a safe, relaxing and peaceful summer. We look forward to an exciting new academic year in 2023 filled with learning and fun while helping our pupils become the best that they can be.
Best Wishes & Warmest Regards,
Jill M. Palmer
Executive Principal
