Message from Kent Young Carers

Kent Young Carers delivers a service and we accept referrals for all young people between the ages of 5-18 who provide support (physical or otherwise) for someone at home with a physical or mental health issue, disability, or substance misuse.

Referrals can be made through our online referral form here -

KYC Referral

Please ensure that you have consent from the person with parental responsibility for the Young Carer before making a referral.

All Young Carers are entitled to an assessment, which will help in identifying what support each Young Carer would benefit from. Our service will also continue to assist and work together with schools to ensure that Young Carers are identified and have access to support. We offer training to schools on identifying Young Carers, should that be an area of interest.
